Reiki
Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved in Japan from ancient teachings. Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student.
The therapist gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body. Some practitioners use a fixed set of hand positions, and others may use their intuition to guide them as to where treatment is needed.
Reiki is given with the client usually lying down, although sitting upright in a chair is an option if this is more preferable. Clients remain fully clothed throughout the treatment.
Reiki is complementary to all forms of treatment as it is non-invasive; it generally promotes and supports good health and well being.
Reiki is a form of energy therapy that assists in the healing of body, mind and spirit. The effects of Reiki can help restore and balance energy and reduce stress. It can be used as a complementary therapy to support any healing process.
